Here are a few snapshots from Comicon Kansas City 2011. You can see more on Jackalope Radio’s Facebook page.
For those who listen to The Brad Westmar Show, you might recall us mentioning this web series. It’s one of Jared’s favorites. We thought we’d share it with ye.
This is quite an interesting find. Split into two sections, you can listen to a clip of each Billboard #1 song in order up until 1992.
Why it stops at 1992 is a mystery. The clips clock in at over an hour long total, so be sure to set aside some time if you want to soak it all in. You can also follow along (sort of) by checking out wikipedia’s list of #1′s here:
Begin in 1956 with Dean Martin’s “Memories Are Made Of This”.
This was my first ever venture to a comic convention. Needless to say, most of it isn’t my cup of tea. I’m not a big comic fan, but I do like to watch the freaks, geeks and costumed peeps. We had a Jackalope Radio booth and The Brad Westmar Show’s very own Batman went all out in his crime fighting gear. Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman) was also in attendance signing autographs and taking pictures. The Damsels Of Dorkington (see Brad Westmar Show #9) also had a booth and provided entertainment with a show. Pictures of them will be posted soon.
I must admit I’m intrigued by the idea of putting bacon on something sweet. In fact, one of my faves I rarely get to make or eat is a peanut butter and bacon sandwich. But it seems like Denny’s is trying to kill off a portion of the population with their “Baconalia” promotion. Food items like Bacon Flapjacks, Bacon Meatloaf, and their latest, The Maple Bacon Sundae, cause clogged arteries by merely looking at a picture.
But who am I kidding? I’d probably give it a try if I was to ever set foot in a Denny’s again. But since it’s no longer 1976…
